In March 2021 we transported 41 x Riverine buffalo from Beatrice Hill Research Farm to a new home in Quindanning, Western Australia.
The 4,410km trip was from the northern end of Australia to the southern end. The route travelled was Darwin – Kununurra (overnight spell and drench) – Broome (2 nights and a dip) – then 33hrs non-stop to Quindanning. We installed a unique sprinkler system in the stockcrates to water-spray the animals every couple of hours during travel. The animals arrived in excellent condition and are happily getting acquainted with their new home.
